About Us

At Baseline Psychology, our approach is grounded in empathy, understanding, and evidence-based techniques. Whether you are seeking support for anxiety, depression, relationship issues, sexual difficulties or other mental health concerns, our compassionate registered psychologist is here to help.

In psychology, "baseline" refers to a person's typical level of functioning, behaviour, or performance before any intervention or treatment is provided. Jess is passionate about empowering individuals to overcome challenges and live fulfilling lives; getting you back to your baseline.

Please note: Baseline Psychology is not a crisis service. If you are in crisis contact 000, or Lifeline 13 11 14

Important Information

Medicare rebates of $98.95 per session are available with a valid Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) from your GP. The MHCP covers 6 initial sessions, with up to 4 additional sessions after a review, per calendar year. A valid Medicare or concession card is required to claim the rebate.

If you have private health insurance, you may be able to claim a rebate for sessions, depending on your insurer and level of cover. Check directly with your health fund. Most psychologists have provider numbers accepted by major insurers.

If you're accessing support through an NDIS plan (self- or plan-managed), or Victims Assist QLD (VAQ), there are no out-of-pocket costs as your plan or VAQ is billed directly.

As Baseline Psychology is not an NDIS registered service provider, we cannot support NDIA-managed NDIS clients.

NDIS covers missed or cancelled appointments, but Victims Assist do not, so you may be liable for the cost if you miss or cancel late.

  • Card details are required when booking your first session online, but no deposit is needed for future bookings.

  • Online credit card payment is preferred, and you agree to keep a valid card on file for billing purposes, including missed appointments or cancellations.

  • The card is automatically charged within the first 15 minutes of the session.

  • Alternatively, you can receive an invoice after the session, which must be paid within 5 business days.

We understand that life happens and plans sometimes change. To ensure fair access and respect the psychologist’s time, the cancellation policy is as follows:

  • Cancellations or reschedules within 48 business hours: 50% fee applies

  • Cancellations or reschedules within 24 business hours or no-shows (DNA): 100% of the session fee applies

The Australian Psychological Society (APS) recommends a fee of $318 for a 46–60 minute session, while the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc. (AAPi) recommends $330 for a 50-minute session.

At Baseline Psychology, our fees are set below these recommendations to support accessibility and affordability. Fees listed apply to standard 50-minute sessions, with longer sessions available upon request or clinical need. Individual psychologists may vary their fees based on experience, specialty, and location.

Baseline Psychology acknowledges the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the lands on which we live, work, and provide care. We honour the Turrbal and Jagera Peoples as the Traditional Custodians of Meanjin (Brisbane), and we pay our respects to their Elders past and present. We extend this to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples across Australia, acknowledging their enduring connection to land, waters, culture, and community and recognise their enduring strength, resilience, and sovereignty.

We also recognise and value the voices of people with lived experience of mental health challenges and those living with disability. Their insights are vital in shaping inclusive, compassionate, and effective mental health care.

Baseline Psychology is committed to celebrating diversity by fostering a sense of belonging and appreciation where all experiences are respected, validated, and meaningfully integrated into conversations about personal wellbeing.
